Gail Gibson, CEO – LoveableLegs.com

From The Pit
To The Palace!
 by Janice Frame
Contributing Writer/Joy Comes E-Zine

Gail Gibson has 25 years experience in marketing and advertising. She owned her own advertising and marketing firm on Wilshire Blvd in New York City. She had it all and about four years ago everything came crashing down around her. She lost everything and, at that point she was unable to find work or any help at all for her daughter or herself.

Things started to change about Christmas 2008. She was down to nothing, and a friend of hers took Gail and her daughter out to brunch for Christmas. Later back at the friend’s house Gail was sitting on the couch and she told her friend she did not feel very Christmassy at all. It was at this point that she felt God was calling her to fast and pray.

After she had been on the fast for about 15 days, which was about January 15, 2009 she was feeling sorry for herself and very discouraged. She was asking God to help her, please give her some creative ideas to earn money so that she could take care of herself and her daughter. She could not find any work-- she was over qualified in the view of those who were hiring. One day as she sat on the floor of her studio apartment going through her bag of lingerie, Lord told her this was how she would make her money, and she thought “pantyhose?” It was then the Lord told her to write the vision and make it plain.

One day as she was taking out the trash she ran into her landlord. She was hoping she would not  see him -- being behind on her rent. He knew she was out of work and asked her what she did for a living, her reply was “I do different things and I am a Realtor“. He told her if he was ever in the market for real estate he would come to her. As they continued to talk, he asked her if she had any business ideas, and she said she had plenty of business ideas. He told her that he had worked with another lady who had done really well with pantyhose. She was overwhelmed at his statement, because the Lord had just given her the same idea!

It was then her landlord asked her to show him her ideas and she ran to get the notes on the vision she had just written down to show him. He then told her to take her time, get everything together, and he would look it over.

Her Landlord Liked her ideas so much he became her first investor-- and remains her largest investor to date.

LoveableLegs Consultant Kit

"LoveableLegs is about so much more than pantyhose, wear them, sell them, share the love".

Ms. Gibson launched LoveableLegs at the beginning of 2009 through much prayer, fasting, and pain, she pushed through her fear, and now has a sales force of over 109 Independent Consultants, spanning the US. She travels conducting "Discovery Sessions" across the country.

During Ms. Gibson  journey from wealth to homeless and back again; she has maintained her trust in the Word and is considered by all  who meet her, a woman of integrity and a “Woman of God“.

Going from the pit to the palace-- Gail cites one scripture-- Psalm 138:8 which helped her stand through it all “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”

She stated, "when you step out in faith to do something for God; the enemy will start telling you that you can’t do it, you don’t have the money, you don’t have this or that... Just keep your eyes on God and He will see you through."

To Gail, “FAITH means: Fully Accepting Instructions Through Him!" Her advice is to "be obedient no matter how it looks.”

Ms. Gail Gibson and LoveableLegs are bringing femininity back. “Women have allowed society to dictate who they are and how they should dress. That is where LoveableLegs comes in.” she stated.

Visit her web-site at www.loveablelegs.com. You will find a variety of hosiery from thigh-highs to body stockings, to beautiful and unusual pantyhose in all sizes (regular to queen) and patterns that are sure to please a multiplicity of personalities .

Tony Key and the Faith Band A Contemporary Band with an "Old School R & B Sound"

Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen,”

Mr. Tony Key and the late Kim Gabriel formed The Faith Band in 2005 during a time when the concept of a completely self-contained band was fading away. Kim’s talent, spirit and friendship continue to impact the group as they forge ahead to continue the vision.

The Faith Band has been performing for seven years and they have now finished recording their first album. Some of the songs featured on the album are “Work to Do,” “Living For His Love,” “What’s Going On,” “Falling in Love with Jesus,” Some Lyrics were written by the band’s co-founder and singer/songwriter/drummer Tony Key.

This group of gifted songwriters and talented musicians are in a class of their own and are well known for converting “old school” R&B classics to melodic Gospel lyrics that reach the soul. The Faith Band is comprised of Tony Key (Band Leader/Lead Vocalist/Songwriter/Drummer); Linda Lee, Yolonda Williams and Latrisha Willis (Vocalists in photo), Norman Williams (Keyboard, MD), Lakisha Shaw Keyboards, and Vocalist), and Rick Rigsby (Bass). The Faith Band members are diverse in talent, and culture, which allows them to reach different people in a range of settings.

Their upbeat and inspirational music spontaneously moves any person within hearing distance.  They’re known for drawing the audience in by producing an experience for the listeners as they combine the “old school” R&B sound with lyrics that bless the soul. While performing, they create a road that connects the audience with the presence of God in the spirit of celebration and thankfulness for the music He created.

The Faith Band has established themselves around the world as a promising, reputable group performing in such venues as Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church with Pastor Tony Evans (Dallas, TX), St. Paul United Methodist Church, The Potter’s House with Bishop T.D. Jakes (Dallas, TX), Grapevine TX’s “Grapefest” Event , The Cleburne Arts Festival  (Cleburne, TX) and Visions, The Women’s Expo in Dallas, TX.

Individually, members of The Faith Band have shared the stage with artists such as James Ingram, Yarbrough & Peoples, Lionel Richie, Fred Hammond, and Jennifer Holiday. The Faith Band’s music has come full circle. They share their faith, while playing electrifying, toe-tapping, rhythmic music. Their unique style will certainly take them through many doors and into many hearts as they continue, “bringing the Gospel with an old school R&B sound."

The Faith Band travels locally and around the world, from sophisticated bistros and outdoor events to mega churches and concerts, spreading their unique style of music. Their calendar is packed with scheduled events for a growing number of fans eager to experience their rare performance.  “Our vision is to spread the gospel to the nation through upbeat music and relative lyrics,” Says the band’s co-founder and drummer, Tony Key.

If I were to describe The Faith Band and Tony Key it would be just this way sweet, uplifting harmonies, inspiring, compelling lyrics, stirring instrumental genius with rhythm that makes you dance inside and out. They have all these qualities and in rare abundance. The Faith Band can get any party started to help celebrate special occasions or lead church congregations in jubilant praise and worship.

Their music is awesome and we really should support them by going out and buying their new CD “Resurrection”. May the Lord richly bless this band and it’s members in a mighty way.

The band can be reached at the e-mail listed below or at their web-site.

"The Weight

Of A Mantle"

Greetings to all of you today in the Name of Jesus.   2009 is almost over and yes it is the time when we start to make our plans for End of Year celebrations and Holiday gatherings.  We reflect back and see how the last few months look like a blur, we speculate on how the year went so fast, and we talk about what we will do in 2010.

I'm shocked at some of the declarations I heard in 2009 and the convictions with which they were spoken; and to see the preparation until manifestation is somewhat sad because the spirit of the spoken word has long vanished; in other words, a lot of hot air.  Here is where my assignment starts as “The Weight of a Mantle “is a real tool of Spiritual Empowerment. Let me explain while you scratch your head.

In The biblical days a mantle was seen as a garment worn by those of the 5 Fold ministries to signify the position and authority of the wearer. According to the Prophet’s Dictionary, mantles also reflect the latitude, stature, as well as the license to act.  A mantle dictates a way of communications with the bearer.  In other words what is learned, practiced, and provided to the 5 Fold Ministry gift to equip and empower them for service to God.  The distinction here is that The Mantle helps us perform in a more complete and confident manner in our gift.

Now that I have laid a foundation, let’s look at why a Mantle would be heavy or lighter for some people.  The weight of a Mantle may or may not be acceptable to us.  I agree with many of you who feel that we all should be able to realize that fact, the reality is different, and we all don't realize it.    Some how we have placed ourselves in positions of “see it”, “want it” and” got to have it”.    Nothing else matters to us but our desire and we just can't imagine someone else may actually feel the same way about their mantle as we do ours.  While that’s a novice thought that is so true in this day and age we live in.

If we are going to carry a Mantle for a particular ministry office, it is incumbent upon the carrier of the Mantle to seek to improve him or herself in areas of empowerment of the gift administration.  Some times we may see certain areas in others lives, but that does not automatically qualify us to Father or Mother them in The Lord.   I find that you will never effectively parent someone in the Lord until they allow you.  We are all adults and we make decisions based on what God has told us, and the reality of it is that your decision may or may not agree with someone whom you are connected to.  Do I mean that sometimes we make decisions that our spiritual seniors don't agree with, yes all day long.   The truth of the matter is they did also.  This is a continual generational process of growth.  Why are we so naive to this concept?  A example of this in biblical days was Job and his wife (Job 2:9)  His wife who told him to follow the custom of the day, to curse God and die.  She did not understand his suffering and yet we see her in the same generation as Job, She was his life mate, as we say today.  Imagine what differences we see in spiritual generations about how it ought to be done.

One of God’s greatest Field Generals in my humble opinion was a man named Smith Wigglesworth.  A plumber in the 1920’s who walked in a mantle unlike any of his day.  His faith was so strong, that he actually threw a dead man against a wall 27 times until he “was revived”.  What am I saying is that, can you imagine his critics, and the people around him who wanted to be developed in faith like he walked in but did not want to pay the price?  They did not want to carry the weight of the Mantle, so they were unable to walk in that particular mantle.    I find that anytime people see that “something”, they are attracted to it.  I'm speaking about the “Anointing to do what needs to be done “when God mandates.  That Anointing will cost many things.  Most of us aren't willing to pay with our time, our money, as well as cut unholy and non prosperous spiritual relationships.   How many times have we asked God for something only to find the cost and weight of what we asked to be too much?

This is a clear sign to me the weight of the Mantle may be too much at this time in one’s life.  That's what most people will not tell you.  They will invent excuse after excuse as to why the timing is not right, and a multitude of reasons why I know God told me this but not now.  Tomorrow is not promised but we bank on it anyway.  Somehow we forget that tomorrow will always be today when it arrives.  We always look to tomorrow because we can keep our positions of prestige and defer our destiny until tomorrow.   A tomorrow that never comes and a today we are unwilling to work in.  Sound like anyone you know?

When we prophesy to someone that they are a Prophet to the nations, what do they do?  They hear the word, but they take no action.  They truth is many times they have no clue on where to start, don't want advice, and somehow feel that God will put you in a Paul (3rd Heaven)  or John(Isle of Patmos)  experience and they will simply get caught up in a real life vision of the word that was spoken.   Can that happen? Sure it can but they will need a Paul, John type relationship with God.  When it does not happen in their prescribed time, they then find justifiable excuses on why it did not happen.  The fact of the matter is that the mantle is not to be transferred to them on their terms but in God’s plan, as he sets the time, place, and mandate or mission.  Sometimes the journey will be harder for some, and easier for others, but we seem to always want to be in comparison or competition mode and not the focus mode.  Truth is we all have our cross to bear.

Let’s look on the other side of the spectrum, we now have a mantle and we have those who feel you may or may not deserve the mantle.   God may allow us to see something concerning a person and we may feel like this is not deserved by a person.  We all have seen it, or been a victim of being proclaimed as someone who does not deserve it.     They even want to say God says no to you, and the reality is , do you believe God says yes.  Now whose report will you believe?  Do you trust God enough in your relationship? Do you trust the voice you hear other than yours?  Who do you trust?  Once you settle that question you will understand the weight of your mantle and learn how to manage it.    Remember Paul, who was not initially received among his Christian brethren? It was hard for them to accept him, the way he preached, and his zeal for God.  They knew of his past, they saw him not in the ‘now’; they saw him in the then.    God sees you in the now, the today, this moment through Jesus; so if you fall into this category then all the negative stuff you have heard should fuel you to greatness in God, as you stay in His presence.

When you have a mantle or you believe that God has given you a mantle, it is your responsibility to develop it either through a sent mentor or experience.  Most of us have a combination of both.  The reality is that the weight of the mantle has to be balanced within our lives or we will not be able to carry it.  When we fail, it does not mean that it’s over; it only means that we did not pass the test, and we need to get understanding on why we did not pass.  I must pose the question to every reader of this blog, how important is it to you?  How important is it to you to walk in your destiny, and not someone’s opinion?  Will you move forward, not be a double minded servant, unstable but a focused, driven servant that God will trust with his overflow Anointing?  When we get to heaven, I plan to make it my business to look Job up and ask him about this concept; I will be honored to be able to sit in his class on The Weight of a Mantle.

God bless you all, and let’s look forward to a great ‘09 ending and more awesome 2010 than any of us can imagine.  As always refer your comments to this website or email theprophetscox7@aol.com, I will respond as appropriate.

My Testimony - In Part

Have you ever had times that you didn't know where you belong? Times you questioned your own worth and why you were even here in the first place? Stripped of all self-esteem, and trust, zest for life. Oh the bitterness, the anger, the rage in some instances, pain, and yes, hatred. These are but a few of the emotions I am too familiar with. No, I am not a licensed Psychologist, I am just one that has learned all I know from life experience, not from books, and want to share that with you, in the hopes of encouraging and bringing just a little of Gods light into those dark and scary places.

This is my testimony to the power and unfailing love of God. Some may think this to be somewhat tasteless, but it is also reality, which is something we tend to forget after coming to Christ, we need to remember where we come from, in order to help others get where they are going.

At your darkest point, when you feel the most alone, God will show up and show off on your behalf if you will but cling to his hand, Glory to God!  I had a wonderful childhood, unlike many, yet mine ended at age 17. At this point in time, we had decided to move away. South Texas was home to me many years, all my friends, my boyfriend, my home, my room, my school, everything familiar to me in my life, I felt it was being ripped away...It really hurt me. I tried to talk to my family, but I wasn’t heard...they didn't really "hear" me. Please, always listen to your kid’s there are times they need considered too, do you know what its like to desperately need someone to really hear you, but they won’t? When we got to Louisiana, my whole world went crazy! Within our first year there we lost 2 homes to fire. Work couldn’t be found.

I didn't even have my family like before, that too was ripped away, I felt. I tired to help just like I always had, trying to keep what little relationship we had together, in my eyes anyway. You see up until the point of moving, we had always been very close, so I couldn't understand why this change all of a sudden, and it hurt me deeply.

Little did I know this was just the start of many a nightmare. I will be condensing a lot of this as there are many years to cover.. truly this has been a journey with God; for without him I would not be here. At 17 I was allowed to date a gentleman of age 22, just back from Vietnam; I thought it was wonderful, well it wasn’t, I was date raped resulting in pregnancy of my oldest son.

Beware young people, what’s outside doesn’t necessarily reflect the motives inside.

He picked me up about 7:00 to go to the fair, by 9:00 we were leaving , and he stopped by this bar, that was on the way, he wanted a cold beer to take with him, he told me to wait in the car, you are under age, I will bring you a pop back. I waited; he brought me a coke to drink in a to go cup, I drank it down. We pulled off, pulled up to a light about 3 blocks up, and folks I passed out, completely. I remember nothing, even to this day it is just a blank space. Could this be the mercy of God protecting me from more hurt? Oh yes, indeed.

This is the hard part for me to re-live, so please bear with me. When I came to, I was lying in a strange bed, with nothing but a sheet covering me. I screamed, from the fear and humiliation of being violated in such a way, and he says to me. Shhhh, it’s ok, really its ok, I have a cab on the way and I will ride with you, to make sure you get in the house ok" How cold and sick can a person be?
